Rice miller losses N188.4m, as NECAS, RIFAN, others affected

As hoodlums in Adamawa state continue to onslaught their looting and vandalisation of public and private properties despite government’s imposed dawn to dusk curfew,a rice milling company,Shemad Concept Nigeria Limited has lost products worth N188,465,000.
Chief Executive Officer of the milling company,Alhaji Muhammad Shemad disclosed to journalists in Yola on Monday that the hoodlums in their multitude forcefully broke in to his factory situated opposite the vandalised Adamawa state Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) storage facility store near river side in the metropolitan.
Muhammad said the hoodlums after breaking in to the firm on Sunday evening carted away 10,615 processed bags of parboiled and white rice valued at N188,465,000.
“Altogether, we had 10,615 bags of rice,5,210 of them were parboiled rice and remaining white rice as we sell white rice at N17,500 per bag while parboiled rice at N18,000 per bag to wholesalers.”
