Rivers Judiciary, IST organised workshop for Judges, Magistrates

Rivers State Judiciary in collaboration with the Investments & Securities Tribunal (IST), organized a workshop for Judges and Magistrates of the Rivers State Judiciary and Members of the IST.

The workshop tagged; Role of Investments & Securities Tribunal (IST) in Capital Market Disputes, was meant to acquaint participants with knowledge on how to address emerging challenges.

 

Speaking at the event, which took place in Port Harcourt, the Chairman of the Investments & Securities Tribunal (IST) Barr. Amos Isaac Azi, said, the aim of the seminar was to sensitised the participants.

 

He said it will enable them have an understanding with the Judiciary on the need to transfer Capital Market Disputes filed in their courts to the Tribunal in order to ease delay on cases that might take time or fall under the purview of the Investments & Securities Tribunal (IST).

Speaking earlier, the Chief Justice of Rivers State, Hon. Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, commended the IST chairman for his leadership.

 

He urged Judges and Magistrates to participate fully as he is elated with the role of the Tribunal in Capital Market Disputes.
