In its bid to tackle health needs of the people, especially those of the less privileged in the society, the Alumni Association of Rotary Club International in collaboration with Ork international have provided 500 different eye glasses and drugs to many residents of Abuja after several medical tests were conducted.
The Chair lady, Alumni Association,District 9125 Abuja, Maitama,Princess Joy Okoro while speaking with our reporter said that the gesture was part of their philanthropic activities aimed at addressing some health challenges of the less privileged in the society.
Princess Okoro who is also the Past Assistant District Governor of the Club further explained: “ what we do here is what we have been doing, we provide free services to humanity, we are here inconjuction with another Organization with like minds,they have some items and kits leading to a workable partnership between us and that has given birth to what you see today, we have given out several eye glasses, we gave out drugs as well as provide free medical test to all especially the less privileged ones.”
She expressed her association’s readiness to provide more free services to the masses.
