Row, as two men lay claim to toddler in Delta

Paternity trouble over real parent of a 5-month old baby identified as Emmanuel Omkhodo in Warri community, Delta State has unsettled its residents.
While two men, Ajayi Tosin and Kesiena Tito are seriously locked in the web of a fight to finish over the “real father” of the baby, it was gathered that the baby was delivered by an 18 year old girl identified as Blessing Iroroteh who allegedly fled the area for fear of unknown.
But the claims of the duo had degenerated when Ajayi one of the claimants was arrested by Tito through a petition title “Threat to life written to the Nigeria Police Area Commander in Warri.
Speaking to journalists in Asaba Ajayi, a 23 year old barber alleged that he cohabited with Blessing Ivoroeh the mother of the baby in 2015 before she took in 2016 and delivered of the baby in 2017, adding that his elder sister was responsible for the medical bills after Blessing delivered.
He said: “my sister has been catering for Blessing and the baby including Blessing’s mother for two months in my house at Nnewi Street, Akah Avenue Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state” noting that he did the naming as well as dedication ceremony of the baby with the presence of the mother of Blessing who later came two weeks later to whisked her (Blessings) and the baby away to the home of Kesiena Tito as the owner of the baby. Also speaking, Mr. Kesiena Tito claimed to have dated Blessing, mother of the baby boy for five years, pointed out that they parted ways ten mothers ago over an undisolved issue before she delivered at Ajayi’s house.
He said: “I hail from ophonigbala community, Ughelli South Local Government Are, I have been responsible for Blessing Education I am the rightful owner of the baby” but in a swift reaction, the Police Commissioner in the state, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim confirmed that the matter had been charged to court where a DNA test can be conducted to ascertain the real father of the child.
