Rural community tasked on healthy living practices

In a bid to adequately educate rural dwellers on the importance of good environment and food for a good health and living, officials of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Health Insurance Scheme has embarked on sensitization tour of communities in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

Addressing a cross section of residents of Kabusa community, who were at his palace to part take of the education, His Royal Highness, Yohanna Koche, who described the initiative, encouraged the his people to key into the scheme.

According to the monarch, “With periodic health sensitization programmes such as this, many minor diseases and sickness that people in the grassroot suffer as a result of ignorance will be tackled head-on.”

The traditional ruler however thanked the FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed and the Executive Secretary, FCT Human and Health Secretary (HHSS), Dr. Demola Onakomaiya, for demonstrating great commitment towards improving the health of the people, especially rural dwellers in the FCT.
