Sallah: Shettima sympathises with Boko Haram victims

Borno state governor Kashim Shettima  yesterday sympathised with displaced victims of Damboa, Marte, Konduga, Biu, Bama and other council areas who have been sacked out of their communities by Boko Haram insurgents.

Governor Shettima, in a Sallah message to the people of the state, said was seriously worried over the condition of the displaced persons who could not celebrate the Eid- Eil Fitr Sallah in their homes but at different refugee camps in Maiduguri and Biu.

Shettima also sympathized with thousands people of Maiduguri Metropolis and Jere who had to trek distance to their various Eid ground, following the ban on the use of vehicles, motorcycles, tricycles and bicycles throughout the three days of the Sallah festivity beginning from yesterday (Sunday) by security operatives.
