Political stakeholders and elders of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) MINDA axis of Benue State at the weekend endorsed Senate Minority Leader, Sen George Akume for another term at the upper legislative chambers.

The elders had acknowledged the contributions of Akume in the politics of the state and country.

Amongst those who spoke on behalf of the MINDA people at the event which was held at the home of former Senator Joseph Kennedy Waku include; Justice Augustine Utsaha, former Judge of the customary court, Drgh Adusa Ikyogen from Iharev, Ikpamor J.T. Orkar from Masev and Sambe Bua from Nongov.

They maintained that the former governor has offered effective representation for Benue North-West senatorial district and as such should be asked to go for another term. They also noted his humanitarian as well as philanthropic gestures to his constituents.

Earlier while presenting Sen Akume, an elder statesman, Haa Orpin pleaded with the MINDA people to allow his son go for another term at the senate.
