The Senator Musa Mustapha representing Yobe East Senatorial District has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiative to develop the livestock sector to diversify the Nigerian economy.
The Senator made this remarks at two-day Consultative Workshop on Livestock Reforms that was declared opened by the President at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
Sen. Musa Mustapha, who is the Special Guest of Honour at the event said that livestock reform is the only way to go if the country is serious about diversifying its economy.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Livestock Development said “as someone who comes from the Northern part of the country, specifically, Yobe State where the mainstay of its economy is agriculture.
“I emphasised that there is a huge market in agricultural sector that if properly harnessed would have the potential of providing thousands of jobs to our teeming youths.”
