The Senate President, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan has  reassured Nigerians of providing a united and purposeful leadership that will transform the security, economy and social wellbeing of the country citizens.

Senator Lawan gave the assurance yesterday, during a Grand reception and official unveiling of Senator Mohammed Sani Musa “Strategic Senatorial Action Plan” held in Minna, saying that elections are over and it’s time for governance, devoid of partisanship.

He declared that it is time to revived railways and to work on Nigerian roads which in turn will boost the economic base of Nigerians especially the rural dwellers.

He emphasized the need to reconsidered Niger State to ensure fair and justice for sacrifices it made in leasing its land for the establishment of Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja as nations capital.

He further applauded the cordial relationship that currently existed between Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and the NASS members in the state which extended to the state assembly called for its sustainance.

The senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa in his speech said that he will not tempered with constituency projects funds and allowances while given priority to quality education of his people, women welfare, fight poverty to enhanced security.

Senator Musa also to give support to health service  policies and Programme, agriculture and employment in his constituency as well to ensure Federal presence by making sure that the deplorable roads are reconstructed which includes; Suleja- Minna road, Minna- Sarkin Pawa to Kaduna roads and completion of Kagara dam project among others.

In his remarks, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State however charged on the NASS to ensured the regulations of trailer and heavy trucks over loading that is causing deplorable roads in the country.

Meanwhile, he pleaded with the Senate President to always consider Niger state in the scheme of things at the National Assembly.
