Sen. Wamakko Pays Condolence Visits to Alhaji Alhaji Family, Others

Former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, on Saturday paid condolence visits to the families of the late Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, Sardaunan Sokoto and former Minister of Finance
A statement issued by his spokesperson, Bashir Abubakar, on Sunday in Sokoto, said that Wamakko had also condoled with the family of the late former Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Engineer Ibrahim Khalil Aliyu.
He also paid similarly condolence visit to the family of the late Hajiya Aisha Sa’idu Sifawa, wife of the Chief Judge of Sokoto State, as well as two other bereaved families in Wamakko Local Government Area.
According to the statement, the visits formed part of the Senator’s efforts to identify with families mourning the loss of their loved ones and to offer prayers for the repose of the deceased.
It added, “At the Wurno Road residence of the late Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, Sardaunan Sokoto, former Federal Minister of Finance and former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Senator Wamakko described the deceased as a patriotic Nigerian, a devout Muslim, and an accomplished statesman who dedicated his life to the service of humanity.”
He said the late Sardaunan Sokoto would be remembered for his integrity, humility, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of Nigeria, praying Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
Responding on behalf of the family, the District Head of Tambuwal, Alhaji Ahmad Dahiru Tambuwal, expressed appreciation to Senator Wamakko for the condolence visit and prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection, and blessings upon him.
The Senator also visited the family of the late Engineer Ibrahim Khalil Aliyu, former Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, where he described the deceased as a seasoned administrator and respected public servant whose contributions to governance and public service in both Kebbi and Sokoto States would remain indelible.
He noted that the late Engineer Ibrahim Khalil Aliyu devoted his life to the service of humanity and prayed that Almighty Allah forgives his sins, grants him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and gives his family the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
Similarly, Senator Wamakko visited the residence of Sarkin Kudun Sifawa on Sultan Abubakar Road to condole with the family of the late Hajiya Aisha Sa’idu Sifawa, wife of the Chief Judge of Sokoto State, Justice Sa’idu Muhammad Sifawa.
He described her death as the will of Almighty Allah and urged the bereaved family to remain steadfast in faith, reminding them that every soul shall taste death.
The Senator prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased and for her admission into Aljannatul Firdaus.
Speaking on behalf of the family, the District Head of Sifawa, Alhaji Abdullahi Sa’adu Sifawa, thanked Senator Wamakko for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of compassion and solidarity during a difficult moment.
Senator Wamakko also paid condolence visits to two bereaved families in Wamakko Local Government Area, where he offered prayers for the deceased and urged the families to accept the losses as the decree of Almighty Allah.
The Senator was accompanied on the condolence visits by the Minister of State for Works, Barrister Bello Muhammad Goronyo; the Member representing Wamakko/Kware Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Abdullahi Kalambaina; the Member representing Sabon Birni North Constituency in the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Almustapha Boza; Special Advisers, Islamic scholars, traditional rulers, APC leaders, and other associates.
