Senator Representing Southern Senatorial District of Nasarawa state at the National Assembly, Sulaiman Adokwe has called on Nigerians to work towards emulating the virtues of Jesus Christ as epitomized by his passion, persecution, death and resurrection.
Adokwe made the assertion in a press statement to mark Easter celebration and made available yesterday to newsmen in Lafia the state capital.
The senator further admonished especially the people of Nasarawa state and Nigerians as a whole to use the Easter period for sober reflection on the life and times of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice.
According to him “ This Should be done with a view to imbibing the legacies of humility, forgiveness, to tolerate, respect and empathy for other people’s feelings.
The federal lawmaker maintained that it was his firm belief that the application of the Virtues taught and lived by Jesus Christ was direly needed now more than any time in the history of this country. added; that people especially in Nasarawa State to in the spirit of the season, eschew bitterness as well as recommit themselves to the noble ideal of unity in diversity.
