Senator Binani, APC vow to appeal Tribunal’s verdict

The Adamawa state Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress,APC.Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani has urge her teeming supporters to remain calm and resolute over the Election petitions Tribunal’s verdict upholding the acclaimed victory of Gov.Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri .
Senator Binani made the disclosure in Yola Weekend assuring her loyalists that the verdict though not in their favour but remain contestable judgement which her legal team will study it thoroughly for necessary action.
Binani appreciated the Tribunal committee for their time and sacrifice all through the litigation noting that the Appeal court would make the next interpretation of the petition in due course with a view to depending the mandate given to her by Adamawa electorate.
She therefore affirmed that her and her teeming supporters and critical stakeholders accepted the Tribunal’s verdict in good fate despite it’s glaring lacunas begging for clarifications which will be address by the Appeal court if the party and stakeholders agree to that.
Similarly, the chairman of the party (APC), Barrister Idris Shuaibu, in his response on the judgment by the Tribunal said it came to him and the entire party as a shock.
Shuaibu expressed confidence that the party can still wrestle power from the ruling PDP saying that the party still have hope because they have two more avenues after tribunal to express their grievances and the Appellate Court to unturn the judgement.
He said the party will as a matter of urgency liase with the National leadership of the party to apply for the certified records of the judgement, study same and do the needful.
Acoording to him, filing an appeal for issues raised in the petition to be succinctly addressed as the judgement at the Tribunal is not the true reflection of the Adamawa voters’ mandate.
The Chairman also called on Party executives, stakeholders and teeming supporters to remain calm and focused as the party will pursue their legitimate mandate through the instrumentality of the law.
