Senator Abdul’aziz Yar’adua, representing Katsina Central, and Deputy Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon. Abduljalal Runka, have condoled with the security forces of Sakai over the loss of 23 security agents last week to a terrorist attack in Kwantan Bauna, Baure town, Safana Local Government Area.
Peoples Daily reports that Safana, like many parts of Katsina state has faced reoccurring attacks from bandit groups targeting vulnerable communities.
The team which included the Chairman of Safana Local Government and the candidate for Chairman of Batsari Local Government, visited the families and relatives of the deceased security personnel, as well as the Emir of Ruma Hakimin Batsari, to offer their condolences.
Senator Yar’adua presented N50,000 to the families of each officer who lost their life in the attack.
He the gesture demonstrated his commitment to standing with the people of Katsina state in times of hardship and tragedy.
