Vice President Kashim Shettima, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has condoned with the Nigerian Army and Borno State government over the latest attacks which claimed the life of Brigadier General Oseni Braimah and some officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army.

Shettima conveyed the President’s condolences during an abrupt trip to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital at the weekend, according to a statement by his spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha.

Recognising the sacrifices of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the VP said, “These men wore the uniform for all of us. They stood to protect our communities, our families, and the future of our children. Their courage reminds us that peace and security often come at a very heavy cost.”
