Xploits consulting ltd in partnership with Access Bank organized a 2-day skills acquisition training for 53 widows in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Principal partner of the firm, Mrs. Grace Taiwo, said the widows were trained on soapmaking, wig making, bead making and make up artistry.
She said the widows were drawn from Dutse bokuma, Dutse Alhaji and Dawaki in Bwari Area Council of FCT.
She added that the essence of the training was to enhance the employability and income generation of the participants and make them self reliant.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Mrs Esther Adoyi thanked Xploits consulting ltd for facilitating the training and Access Bank ltd for the support.
Another participant, Mrs Mariam Ibrahim called on government to look into the plight of widows and come to their aid by granting them enabling trading environment.
Also speaking, Mr Bulus Diko youth leader Dutse Bokuma, thanked the facilitators, Xploits consulting ltd for bringing the training to the community and Access Bank ltd for supporting the project.
