Super Eagles invitee Mubarak Suleiman and his Nigerian compatriot Emmanuel Ayaosi have received high commendation from Slavia Prague head coach Jindřich Trpišovský following their impressive performances in the club’s 5-0 victory over Jablonec.
The two Nigerian youngsters played important roles as Slavia Prague returned to winning ways in the Czech First League encounter on Saturday.
Suleiman opened the scoring in the 41st minute before Ayaosi doubled the visitors’ advantage shortly after the restart.
Suleiman then completed his brace in the 75th minute, while Danijel Šturm added the fifth goal five minutes later to seal an emphatic victory.
Speaking after the match, Trpišovský expressed his satisfaction with the contributions of the Nigerian duo.
“They were great. Before the match, I told them that we had Nigerian wingers and that we would be dangerous,” the Slavia Prague manager said.
“For their age, one is nineteen, the other is twenty-two, they are excellent. Ayaosi is great at manipulating the ball in a small space,” he added.
The Czech tactician also acknowledged the importance of the team’s defensive organization in creating opportunities for the attacking players to express themselves.
“Of course, the team helps them, the solid defence gives the offensive players confidence and puts them in good positions.”
Trpišovský further explained the tactical adjustment he made to get the best out of Suleiman, revealing that he moved the Nigerian further forward to take advantage of his attacking runs while strengthening the team’s right flank.
“Our formation didn’t work out. We needed Mubarak more up top because of his runs, and we reinforced the right side with Vlčák. It worked out great for us,” he explained.
The commendation comes amid an impressive campaign for both Nigerians at Slavia Prague.
According to the report, Ayaosi has recorded five goals and three assists in all competitions, while Suleiman has contributed three goals and two assists.
Suleiman earned his first invitation to the Super Eagles ahead of Nigeria’s October international friendly against Russia.
He continues to strengthen his case for further opportunities with the national team through his impressive performances in the Czech Republic.
