The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) has publicly expressed gratitude to Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani for his significant role in the recent appointment of retired General Christopher Gwabin Musa as Nigeria’s Minister of Defence. In an open letter dated December 3, 2025, the group praised the governor’s “visionary leadership” and “unwavering commitment” to the growth and stability of Kaduna State and the nation as a whole.

The letter, signed by Engr. Tabara Samuel Kato, National President of SOKAPU, described General Musa’s appointment as a “significant step toward strengthening the national security architecture, enhancing citizens’ safety, and accelerating socio-economic development.” Kato added that this development has rekindled hope among Nigerians, particularly the people of Southern Kaduna, who view the appointment as a validation of their aspirations for peace and progress.
