Sokoto ADC announces national, state assemblies candidates

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced its National and State Assemblies candidatez in Sokoto State during the 2027 general elections.
Our Correspondent in Sokoto reports that the candidates emerged through affirmation.
The candidates include a serving member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mani Maishonko Katami as the candidate for Sokoto North Senatorial District.
Similarly, former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Jordan, Amb. Faruk Malami Yabo was affirmed as the candidate for Sokoto South Senatorial District.
Also, the delegates affirmed a former Chairman of Rabah Local Government Area as the candidate for Sokoto East Senatorial District.
The ADC also ratified its 11 candidates for the House of Representatives 30 candidates for the state Assembly.
In their separate remarks, the senatorial candidates pledged to live above board, and appreciated the party leader in the state, Sen. Aminu Wazirin Tambuwal, for resitioning the ADC.
While pledging to live above board, the candidates expressed optimism that they will emerge victorious during the forthcoming polls.
They also pledged to improve security and the general living conditions of the people of the state in line with the manifesto of the ADC.
Our Correspondent recalls that the party had chosen a former Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaji Manir Dan-Iya as its consensus governorship candidate.
