Sokoto Correspondents Chapel gets new exco

The Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) in Sokoto State has nominated Malam Habibu Harisu and Olakunle Ma’aruf as new chairman and treasurer respectively.
The nomination was unanimously endorsed by the members at a Congress meeting held on Sunday in Sokoto.
Harisu, is the State Correspondent of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto while Ma’aruf is the Correspondent of Tribune Newspaper.
The replacement was sequel vacant positions that existed.
The new officials were administered oaths of office by Sokoto State Secretary of NUJ, Malam Abubakar Imam in accordance to union regulation.
In his remarks, the new Chairman commended members on the decision and pledged to work toward the development of the chapel.
