Rashida Ahmed Barade Wamakko, daughter of the Chairman of the Sokoto State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) and District Head of Wamakko, Alhaji Ahmed Barade Wamakko, has died.
The deceased was the wife of the Vice Chairman of Wamakko Local Government Area, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Goshe. She is survived by her parents, husband, and six children.
The Sokoto State Government was represented at the funeral by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Idris Muhammad Gobir, on behalf of Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
Other top government officials who attended the funeral included the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Sifawa, and the Chief of Staff, Government House Sokoto, Alhaji Aminu Dikko.
Also present were members and staff of the Sokoto State Local Government Service Commission, permanent secretaries, state and local government officials, traditional rulers, Islamic clerics, politicians, and other sympathisers who gathered to pay their last respects.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of Rashida’s soul and for Almighty Allah to grant her family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
May Allah grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
