The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto state, Ambassador Abdallah Wali has unveiled a former member of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Garba Yusuf as his running mate ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
Before now, Yusuf was the minority leader of the state House of assembly from 2007 to 2011 and represented Isa constituency of the state.
The PDP running mate is said to be a close political ally of the former governor and party leader, Attahiru Bafarawa.
Announcing to Newsmen in Sokoto yesterday, Wali said that the choice of his running mate was arrived at sequel to various consultations between the party members and elders across the state.
He further described Yusuf as loyal, trustworthy and discipline politician who has served the party diligently.
His words: “He is very disciplined and loyal to the party, just as he has a big heart,” Wali, praised.
