Sole female chairmanship aspirant battles 22 male contenders over AMAC seat

• …vows to beat them in free and fair contest

he sole female chairmanship aspirant contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) election, Hon. Jennifer Ozioma Nnamudi, says she is not scared of going against the other 22 male aspirants contesting to be the party’s candidate for the FCT council elections in February, 2026.

Nnamudi also boasted that she has done more than all her challengers, adding that victory is certain for her in any free and fair contest.

The confident aspirant who picked the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on Monday at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja, told newsmen that the test of the popularity of political aspirants should include the ability to enter a contest without resort or use of dubious means like rigging, intimidation or other known election frauds.

Speaking after picking her forms accompanied by hundreds of her supporters, the aspirant told newsmen that she has done her homework very well, by visiting all the Wards in the council which has given her a remarkable popularity and knowledge of her constituency.

“What a man can do, a woman can do even better,” Mrs. Nnamudi stated, adding that she decided to join the race to respond to incessant calls from the people of AMAC for good governance, insisting that no other Chairman has performed close to the performance of Mrs. Esther Anazodo, the first female chairperson of the council.

On what she intendeds to do differently if elected, Hon. Nnamudi stated that the empowerment of young people and families, especially providing hospitals for pregnant women would be her priority and that the people would feel her administration with the special attention on education and infrastructural provision.
