Speaker Abbas Marks Colleague’s Birthday In Grand Style

In his customary fashion, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas, Tuesday, took out time to celebrate the birthday of one of his colleagues.

Rt Hon Abbas led fellow members to mark the birth anniversary of Hon. Ajiya Abdulrahman representing Abaji/ Gwagwalada/ Kuje/ Kwali Federal Constituency.

Abbas congratulated the celebrant on another milestone and prayed for more years in sound health and wealth.

The Speaker, who presented NASS-clad cakes and cards to the lawmaker, wished him well in his legislative adventure.

He described Hon Abdulrahman as a fine gentleman, humble and dedicated to his constituency and nation.

He prayed that the celebrant will continue to represent his people to the best of his ability and with their interests at heart at all times.

According to him, the leadership of the 10th NASS is positioned toward improving the standard of living of Nigerians.

The Speaker, therefore, charged the celebrant to maintain the 10th House of Reps’ manifesto focused on the masses.

Abbas said the essence of governance is the people and all the efforts of lawmakers at all levels should be geared in that direction.

He, however, urged Nigerians to continue to support the Federal Government and the 10th NASS.
