The  National Television Authority (NTA)’s Director in charge of TVE Abuja,   Mr Maxwell Loko has said that the newly launched digital satellite technology StarSat is to complement the digital terrestrial television in order to satisfy viewers in a different and more effective ways.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Mr loko said that StarSat technology will give consumers what startimes would not give in the digital arena.

According to him, the advantage StarSat has is much more satisfactorily to consumers than the DTT services because of the channels it has more than that of startimes.

Loko explained that the satellite base technology is very cheap and will give customers more meaningful satisfaction with just   a dish to get the full digital signal channels, adding that   the signal distribution is found everywhere unlike the DTT channels which are found within the catchment areas and a particular  given location.
