Chairman of the Commission, Jankanti Paulinus Ganya, who confirmed this to our reporter in Jalingo, said the money was for staff and students allowances.

According to the chairman, the Accountant, Shehu Saman and a commissioner with the Commission, Chindo Isa, briefed him yesterday that after cashing the money, he (the Accountant) went to Yelwa market in Jalingo and parked the car to buy soup ingredients but that when he returned after some few minutes he saw the side glasses of the car smashed and the money stolen.
