The All Progressives Congress (APC) Nasarawa state Chapter has described the Appeal Court decision, which reversed the earlier nullification of the peoples’ mandate to Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule as Nasarawa Governor as a reflection of the party’s popular acceptability, and big win for democracy and victory for the good people of the state.
The APC State Publicity Secretary Otaru Douglas, in a press statement made available to Peoples Daily, in Lafia the state capital, said the judgment validated and reaffirmed the overwhelming support the party and its candidate has continued to receive from the majority of the people of the state, which hitherto translated to victory during the March 18 Governorship Election.
According to the statement , This judgement which is Nasarawa State.
He added that it has further rekindled the hope of the common man which was almost dashed by the uncertainties which pervaded the political atmosphere and the needles distractions it has caused the APC/Sule led Administration.
“We are equally not unaware of the mutual distrust and security infractions these whole debacle has brought to our dear state since after the election and the aftermath of the tribunal ruling.
“By this judgement, the good people of the state can now heave a sigh of relief from anti democratic tendencies and extreme conservatism of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP”, the statement stated.
The statement further urged supporters of APC to celebrate with all sense of responsibility as well as called on the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and its candidate Dr David Emmanuel Ombugadu to put aside all differences and rally behind the administration of Governor Abdullahi A Sule to move the state forward, promote egalitarianism and ensure a peaceful state for all.
