Super Falcons battle Rwanda in AWC qualifiers

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will tackle Rwanda in the second round of the qualifying series of the 2014 African Women Championship to be staged in Namibia.

Rwanda, despite losing to Kenya in Nairobi, marched to this round through the away goal rule after a 2-2 tie.

The first leg will be played on the weekend of 23-25 May in Kigali, while the second-leg will be played on the weekend 6-8 June in Abuja.

Winner of the second round ties will book a ticket to the African Women Championship billed for Namibia from October 11-24, 2014.

This year’s African Women Championship serves as the qualifier for the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup to be staged in Canada.
