Supervisory Councilor uses palliatives for politics —Gwagwalada residents

Some residents in GWagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have accused the Supervisory Councilor for Agriculture in the Area Council, Mr. Garba Jibril of failing to share the palliatives to the people properly in the area.
The residents also alleged that the Supervisory Councilor for Agriculture used the palliatives to play politics among the residents, instead of sharing the rice and maize to the poor.
Residents who spoke to Peoples Daily Correspondent separately in Gwagwalada on Saturday, further alleged that some people who are in other political parties were not given the palliatives.
Alhaji Yusuf Abdul, a resident of Angwan Azara, lampooned the Supervisory Councilor for Agriculture for being tribalistic towards the sharing of palliatives to the inhabitants in the area.
Abdul recalled that the administration of Gwagwalada Area Council was known for the failure in sharing foodstuffs to the needy.
“ I am a father of eight children residing in Angwan Azara, I want to put across to the Area Council that I did get palliatives which was shared by the Supervisory Councilor”, he said.
Another resident residing in Dagiri, Mr. Zakari Suleiman expressed dismay over the sharing of palliatives to the people, noting that the palliatives were not given to the poor.
An aggrieved APC member in Gwagwalada who did not want his name to be mentioned in print, said the Supervisor Councilor diverted the palliatives to share for his sisters.
In another development, the residents of Gwagwalada Area Council had described the speaker of the legislative arm of the Area council Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim as a rubber stamp, as he failed to provide a good legislation.
