A surveyor based in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Mr. Sunday Shagi Jonah, on Saturday distributed 600 sprayers to the farmers across the ten political wards in Gwagwalada.
Jonah, who is also the Special Adviser to Gwagwalada Chairman on Land matter, said he doled out sprayers to the farmers in order to encourage them in this year’s cropping season.
He said he would continue to be of help to the farmers so as to boost food production in Gwagwalada and its environs, noting that majority of Gwagwalada residents are farmers.
He, therefore, advised the farmers to make use of inputs to better their farm produce, and urged them to remain committed to their farming activities.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke during the occasion Mr. Ibrahim Umar Makeri and Mr. Mohammed Umar, commended the intiator for the gesture.
It would be recalled that Mr. Sunday Shagi Jonah provided scholarship to the less privileged students in Gwagwalda.
