Suspected miscreants have reportedly killed a Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) driver identified as Mohammed Abo’ore around Fadukpe in Minna, Chanchaga local government area of the state.
The incident occurred on Sunday around ten o’clock at night when the vigilante members mobilised to the area to effect arrest of Indian helm smokers while Mohammed Abo’ore, volunteered to assist and unfortunately he was stabbed by one of the miscreants.
The deceased Abo’ore, was well-known in the community for his efforts in promoting peace, during the community’s struggles with miscreants.
Reports revealed that Abo’ore was stabbed with scissors by one Nura Buhari who escaped.
When contacted, the Niger state command Public Relations Officer PPRO SP Wasiu Abiodun onfirmed that miscreants were sighted around Rafi area of Fadikpe smoking cannabis.
Abiodun added that one of the miscreants Abdullahi Rabiu was arrested and he is under investigation, assisting the police with further informations.
