The suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, yesterday shunned the invitation by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria to answer questions on part of his tenure (between 2011 and 2012), especially with respect to the N500 billion, said to have been disbursed as power and aviation intervention fund.

The panel hearing which began at about 12 noon closed by 5pm with the suspended CBN governor not showing up. But his lawyer delivered a letter to the panel, saying that Sanusi cannot appear before it since his case was still pending in court.
