The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev Yakubu Pam said negotiations with bandits’ ends up encouraging criminal activity rather than bringing succour to the security challenges bedeviling the country.
He stated this while speaking at theresidents of former Christians Association Of Nigeria (CAN) Secretary, Engineer Samuel Salifu yesterday.
Rev Pam who was in kaduna to condole the former CAN scribe on demised of his wife, Alice Hassana Salifu, said criminality must be eliminated, not mitigated, hence negotiating with criminals is not the solution to end the manace the country find itself in.
According to him, instead of enriching the kidnappers and bandits’, the Goverment should step up security and intelligence operations that will help to take the fight to the criminals.
