Nyameh noted that the mandate given to the governor is a clear expression of the choice made by the people of Osun State.
He commended the electorate for coming out en masse to vote, noting that despite attempts to frustrate the process, the people stood firm and ensured their votes counted.
Professor Nyameh specifically applauded the resilience of Accord Party members and supporters in Osun, who he said faced intimidation, pressure, and political gang-ups during the electioneering period.
“Congratulations, Your Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, on your victory!.
“To the good people of Osun State, you have made your choice, and your voice has been heard.
“Thank you for standing firm and defending your votes despite the intimidation, pressure, and political gang-up against the Accord Party and its candidate,” he said.
According to the statement, the victory is not only for Governor Adeleke and the Accord Party, but also a signal to political stakeholders that the power ultimately resides with the people.
“This victory is a powerful reminder that when the people stand together, their will cannot be silenced,” Nyameh added.
