Taraba: Accord guber candidate unveils running mate, preaches issues-based campaign

The gubernatorial candidate for the Accord party in Taraba State, Professor Jerome Nyameh has on Wednesday unveiled Alhaji Tanimu Ali Ibrahim as his running mate for the 2027 general election.

The unveiling, which held in Jalingo, was witnessed by party officials, stakeholders, and supporters.

Prof. Jerome Nyameh described the Nyameh-Ibrahim ticket as a winning ticket built on experience, competence, integrity, unity, and a shared commitment to the progress of Taraba state.

He called on all Tarabans to join the movement for positive change, irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious differences.

“This marks another significant step in our collective journey towards building a better and more prosperous Taraba State.

“Together, we can create opportunities, strengthen our economy, empower our youth and women, and build a Taraba where every citizen has a reason to hope and prosper,” he said.

Prof. Nyameh charged his supporters to run an issue-based campaign, warning against blackmail and personal attacks on opponents.

He disclosed that his blueprint for the state, titled _Taraba Therapy_, will be unveiled when the gubernatorial campaign officially kicks off.

“I do not tolerate blackmail of other candidates, and I don’t want my media team or supporters to engage in it. My track record, integrity, administrative experience, and leadership ability, and that of my deputy, are undeniable. Project those to the people.

“Engage intellectually and constructively with brilliant ideas. Regardless of our political, tribal, or religious affiliations, a better Taraba should be our common concern. Politics should not divide us. Taraba is for all of us to build together,” Nyameh added.
