Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has approved the issuance of appointment letters to more than 2,000 newly appointed aides.

Following months of anticipation, the process, according to the statement released on Monday by the Secretary to the Government of the State, SGS, Barrister Gebon T. Kataps, will commence on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

The appointees, according to the release, are directed to report to the Political Department at the SGS office for collection of their appointment letters and to complete necessary documentation.

The move follows the recent inauguration of Chairpersons and Members of Boards and Parastatals, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Community Special Assistants by Governor Kefas, who had not been issued with appointment letters.

Additionally, civil servants appointed to other political offices must apply for a Leave of Absence through the Head of Civil Service, as stipulated in PSR 100236, if they intend to return to the civil service after their political tenure,” the statement read.
