Taraba State government has on Thursday hosted a school competition in preparation for the upcoming Northeast zonal National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) National Quiz Competition.
Speaking during the competition in Jalingo, governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba state said that the aim was to promote knowledge and understanding of legislative and democratic governance among young Nigerians.
Represented by Dr. Augustina Godwin, State Commissioner, Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education, Kefas appreciated students from Taraba State as they showcased their skills and knowledge.
“The main essence of Education, which my administration has graciously made free and compulsory in the State, is to prepare our children for every possible challenge ahead of their lives.”a
