From Godwin Agia, Jalingo

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University Jalingo on Thursday expressed concern over what they described as inadequate funding of the institution.
The union decried that the development has led to either delay, irregular or sometimes fractional payment of salaries.
Dr Joshua Mbave, the ASUU chairman disclosed this in a press conference in Jalingo after union’s congress meeting.
He disclosed that members were owed six (6) full months and seven (7) months fractional salaries, and called on government and the relevant stakeholders to step up action to address the situation.
The chairman also expressed dismay that members were going through excruciating economic realities in the wake of subsidy removal and inflationary forces.
