The Jigawa state first lady Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi has urged the general public to collaborate for the awareness campaign on fight against Tuberculosis disease in Jigawa state.
Hajiya Namadi who was represented by the wife of Jigawa stste deputy governor Hajiya Aisha Aminu Usman made the call during the flag-off of the National Childhood Tuberculosis campaign week for the year 2025.
She explained that, as the report indicated that Nigeria is 6th with burden of tuberculosis cases globally and first in Africa, there is need for more awareness campaign on the symptoms, risk, of the diseases as well as the prevention ways against the disease.
