A disturbing video has emerged online showing a member of a terrorist group openly claiming responsibility for the recent abductions of students in Kebbi and Niger States while issuing fresh threats against soldiers and political leaders.
In the clip, which has been widely shared across social media, the armed man boasted that the kidnappings were carried out by his group and warned that they were preparing for even more attacks. He went further to mock the government, insisting that authorities were powerless to stop them.
The brazen declaration has intensified public anger and fear, especially at a time when communities in northern Nigeria are still reeling from repeated mass abductions.
Across X and Facebook, Nigerians have been expressing outrage, with many questioning how criminal gangs have become so emboldened. Others lamented the worsening security situation and demanded stronger, more effective action from the federal government.
