
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, representing Nigeria’s North Central geopolitical zone.
Dr Ocholi is an experienced public administrator, researcher and policy professional with extensive experience in public service, scientific research, administration and policy engagement.
He holds a PhD in Biological Sciences and several postgraduate qualifications, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Public Health, and qualifications in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
According to the announcement, Dr Ocholi has demonstrated a strong commitment to national development through his contributions to research, policy discourse and grassroots mobilisation initiatives.
President Tinubu congratulated the new appointee and urged him to contribute meaningfully to the implementation of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda through his role on the TETFund Board of Trustees.
Dr Ocholi is an indigene of Oganenigwu Ward in Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi State, within Nigeria’s North Central region.
The Tertiary Education Trust Fund Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing the management and disbursement of education intervention funds aimed at improving infrastructure, research, academic staff development and overall quality in Nigeria’s public tertiary institutions.
