President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday for visits to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos states.
While in Borno State, the President will commission several projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum, in collaboration with the Federal Government.
He will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday night.
According to Onanuga, the President will proceed from Maiduguri to Bauchi State to pay a condolence visit to the Bauchi State Government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who died on November 27.
Following the condolence visit, President Tinubu will travel to Lagos State, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays.
He is also expected to serve as the Guest of Honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27, among other engagements in the state.
The festival, which will hold at Tafawa Balewa Square, will honour notable personalities, including President Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola, the statement added.
