The second edition of National Police Day is holding today, Tuesday, at Eagle Square in Abuja, marking a key initiative introduced by Bola Tinubu to recognise the sacrifices of police officers and rebuild public trust in Nigeria’s policing system.

The event, taking place in the nation’s capital, Abuja, features colourful parades, ceremonial displays, and exhibitions of operational assets by the Nigeria Police Force.

Organisers say the celebration goes beyond pomp and pageantry, serving as a moment of reflection on the critical role of the police in safeguarding lives and property across the country.

National Police Day also highlights ongoing reforms within the Force, with emphasis on improving professionalism, strengthening accountability, and deepening community engagement.
