President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to launch a high-profile marathon infrastructure commissioning tour across the Federal Capital Territory starting tomorrow (Tuesday), officially unveiling three massive road networks and a key judicial complex.

The presidential itinerary was made public by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Monday afternoon following a final assessment tour of the ready-to-use project sites.

According to the official schedule rolled out by the FCT Administration, the President’s consecutive daily commissioning lineup will proceed as follows Tuesday- formal opening of the Usafa road, easing traffic congestion for suburban commuters, and Wednesday -commissioning of the N5 Lifecamp road project, structurally designed to open up inner-city connectivity.

Also, on Thursday – unveiling of the highly anticipated Airport to Kuje Road, a strategic bypass designed to cut transit times to fast-growing satellite towns, and Friday (Democracy Day)-handover of the new Court of Appeal Justices’ official residence, a major judicial infrastructure project executed by a local Nigerian construction firm.

“What is important to us is that we’ll be able to achieve the timeline,” Minister Wike stated, praising the construction giants Julius Berger, Arab Contractors, and CGC for delivering the critical road networks completely on schedule.

Reflecting on the upbeat mood in the territory, the Minister noted that the rapid infrastructure transformation is visibly boosting public morale.

“Above all, we’re very happy that the residents are also happy. Even you, the media, you’re also happy that we’ll be able to attend this event,” Wike concluded.

The upcoming presidential showcase forms a central part of the administration’s “Renewed Hope” urban renewal push, aimed at transforming the physical landscape of the nation’s capital, unlocking economic corridors, and providing immediate relief to Abuja commuters.
