The Executive Chairman Toto Local Government Area, Hon. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, yesterday swore-in the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Personal Assistants during a ceremony at the council Secretariat, marking a significant step in strengthening grassroots governance.
During the ceremony, Hon. Yahaya emphasized the importance of teamwork, dedication, and absolute loyalty to the government of the day in achieving the administration’s goals.
He described the appointments as a pivotal moment for governance, urging the Supervisory Councillors and others to seize the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the progress of Toto LGA.
He expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Nasarawa state, Engr. Abdullahi A Sule for his steadfast support and called for unity among residents to overcome challenges, including security concerns.
The sworn-in appointees included five (5) supervisory Councillors, Nine (9) Special Advisers, ten (10) Senior Special Assistants, thirty (30) Special Assistants and sixty (60) Personal Assistants.
Peoples Daily reports that while the Deputy Chairman of the Council, Hon. Atnadu Sunday Yakubu, was assigned the portfolio as Supervisory Councilor for Health, Hon. Danlami Usman Garkuwa was assigned the job of Supervisory Councilor for Works, Housing and Transport, Hon. Salihu Ibrahim (Rossy), Social Service and Community Development.
Other portfolios assigned were Education, Hon. Ishaq Kaura and Hon. Idris Hussaini for Agriculture and Natural Resources.
