The Sarauniya of Jeida in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajiya Maryam Abubakar, has called on the entire traditional medicine practitioners in the FCT to come together to fight quacks.
Hajiya Maryam Abubakar, who made the call in an interview with Peoples Daily Correspondent on her residence at Jeida after she was crowned as the Sarauniya in charge of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) in Kuje.
She said she would continue to work with the leadership of NANTMP in Kuje and the FCT at large to move the association of the traditional medicine practitioners along.
She pleaded with the leadership of NANTMP in Kuje to sensitise the traditional medicine practitioners for better, saying that our forefathers had used the herbs to treat the people in the society.
Sarauniya of NANTMP, who is also the Queen of Kuje, however, appealed to the government of the day to consider the traditional medicine practitioners in the scheme of things.
