The Kaduna Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of a Youth Corps member, Oyeleke Ajani, as one of the two people killed in an accident involving a trailer and motorcycle in Kaduna.
The FRSC Sector Commander, Umar Ibrahim, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna yesterday.
Ibrahim said the accident happened around 2 p.m by Lagos Garage Road, Mando, along Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway, Kaduna.
“Our findings revealed that the corps member, a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and the motorcycle rider were riding against traffic heading to Mando from Kawo bridge.
“The rider lost control and jammed into a trailer coming from the opposite direction, killing the two instantly, “he said.
He added that the victims’ bodies had been deposited at the morgue of Barrau Dikko Hospital, Kaduna.
“The accident caused serious traffic gridlock; it took the intervention of Kaduna state government and Mando FRSC rescue teams to clear the road, “he said.
The commander advised people to desist from driving against traffic, stressing that such behaviour would lead people to untimely death.
