Tinubu’s Turbo Fest 2026, held at Eagle Square, has marked a significant milestone in Nigeria’s automotive and motorsport development, reinforcing the sector’s growing relevance to national economic transformation.
The event, organized by Naija Autosports in collaboration with the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), brought together key stakeholders, industry players, and enthusiasts, showcasing the immense potential of motorsport as a driver of innovation, youth engagement and economic growth.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of NADDC, Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, emphasized that motorsport remains a critical platform for advancing automotive technology, creating jobs, and empowering young Nigerians. He stressed the importance of formalizing and investing in Nigeria’s autosport ecosystem to unlock its full value chain, while also enhancing safety standards across the sector.
The festival attracted dignitaries and institutional stakeholders, further demonstrating strong national support for the development of motorsport in Nigeria.
The large turnout and active participation underscored the growing interest in structured automotive sporting activities.
