Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani has urged the newly recruited Police Constables from the Police College Kaduna to ensure that discipline and integrity are their hallmarks in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Gov Sani asserted this during the Passing Out Parade of the Constables in Kaduna yesterday.
The Governor also charged the newly recruited Constables to deploy the knowledge and skills acquired in the course of their training to provide the needed security for the citizens, and to maintain law and order in every way necessary across Nigeria.
The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Barrister James A. Kanyip Said, Kaduna State is one of the main beneficiaries of the quality training provided to security personnel by this Institution.
According to him, the efforts of security agencies have led to great improvement in the security situation in Kaduna State, and he cannot thank the security operatives enough for their sacrifices and patriotism.
He added that the Nigerian Police Force is the Lead Agency in the maintenance of law and order. It has been discharging its responsibilities creditably despite the challenges of inadequate funding and personnel.
“The place of training in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Nigeria Police cannot be overemphasized. Our Recruit Constables have been trained to face challenging tasks.
“I want to commend the Federal Government under the leadership of the President and Commander in Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun Ph.D, and the Commandant of the Nigerian Police College, Kaduna, CP Dansabo Idi, psc, and the management of this institution for the excellent training provided to the constables recruited to boost the much-needed security manpower across Nigeria.”
