The ten elected National executives of Alumni Association of the University of Abuja have been sworn-in at the permanent site of the university by Barr. Owobu Goddey.
The Sworn-in executive members include Musa Thomas (National President), Ifeoma Ernest Chukwu (Vice President), Aloyinlapa Shuaibu Tunde (Secretary-General), Ogbu Collins (Assistant Secretary) and Olusegun Maiye (Financial Secretary).
Others are; Johnson John Edache (Treasurer), Barr. Muhammed Eze (Legal Adviser), Anthony Adeiza Onwudah (Mobilization and Welfare Officer), Ereh Atama David (Provost) and Ismaila Gambo (Publicity Secretary).
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, the Vice-chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof. Michael Adikwu, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-chancellor Academic, Prof. Edward Nwana, charged the executives to work together for the progress of the University.
Nwana assured the officials that the Management of the University would rely on them for advice whenever the need arises.
Also speaking, the newly sworn-in president of the association, Musa Thomas, called on the members as well as University community to support and co-operate with the executives of Alumni Association to move the association forward in the interest of the University of Abuja.
He said the leadership of Alumni Association would remain committed to the development of the University, adding that the executives are ready to provide purposeful leadership.
The president said the officials would not hesitate to carry out their duties in accordance with the constitution of the association.
On her part, the Registrar of the university, Mrs. Rifkatu Hoshen Swanta urged the executives to take every member of the association along in the affairs of things.
