UNICEF launches action on resilient system for nutrition in Gombe

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in collaboration with the Gombe State Government has launched progressing action on resilient system for nutrition through innovation and partnership( PARSNIP) in Kwami Local Government Area of Gombe State.
Dr Rane who explained that the programme will kick start in Kwami Local Government Area, will subsequently extend to other four local governments areas.
Speaking in a meeting with stakeholders on PARSNIP programme held at Kwami chief of field office on PARSNIP programme in Gombe Dr. Turshar Rane said the meeting was aimed at finding out solution to eliminate malnutrition among children in the state.
He however, appreciated the effort of Gombe State Government for the support in fight against malnutrition.
He urged that UNICEF will continue to work closely with the government to ensure that the menace is eradicated.
Speaking at the meeting, chairman of Kwami local government area Ibrahim Buba assured UNICEF of the necessary support of the programme.
